“I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the Ages of this world alone.” Any LOTR groupies around here? I love, love this photograph taken by Sissy of Sullivan Photography. I would never have thought about using the theme this way on a shirt, but it is so unique, don’t you think? ...

Best of both worlds -- inside with air-conditioning and outside with two food trucks and lots and lots of photo opportunities. Yes, summer months in the south can be pretty intense, but choosing wisely a venue with AC, a covered area and panoramic views are all great choices.

There is so much joy in this photograph by Sullivan Photography. Our bride truly looks like a princess whose fairy godmother has just dressed her in the perfect princess gown. Madeleine Cantrell and Kevin Thompson were married on Saturday, June 6. With government restrictions, it was touch and go...

Such vibrant colors in this image taken by Sissy Sullivan. I love the tossing of red rose petals as Madeleine and Kevin Thompson walk from the ceremony as newlyweds. Just so darn precious!

The coronavirus pandemic has probably affected brides and grooms and the wedding industry as much or more, then any other business. The brides who had booked with Sampson's Hollow for March, April and most of May were faced with the choice of narrowing down their guest list to under 10 and keepi...

My daughter got married at Sampson's Hollow on June 13, 2020. She and her new husband just graduated from the University of Alabama, but spent the last of their college years in quarantine. They lost the opportunity to walk for graduation, and given the global pandemic we were unsure if the wedding would happen but despite so much lost to COVID-19, the (much smaller!) wedding was just beautiful. We could not have asked for a more lovely setting. The staff was phenomenal (Thanks Angie and Lesley!). The music was perfect and the food/cake was delicious! I'm so happy we decided on Sampson's Hollow for this important event in my daughter's life. It will be a wonderful memory for years to come! I highly recommend Sampson's Hollow, you will not be disappointed!

This is a gorgeous venue. Google the name, don't use the address for directions. Follow the signs into the ground, because it's not so easy to find. This is a gorgeous place in the foothills of the Smoky mountains. The staff are very helpful, and they have golf carts to help those who can't walk well into the Glen.

My best friend had her wedding here last weekend. It is BEAUTIFUL! The staff is wonderful. Her coordinator was so awesome! The cabin the bride's party was getting ready in is so adorable. We had a great time. I would recommend anyone looking for a beautiful place to have your dream wedding to call them. You will not be disappointed. Beautiful is not a good enough word.

Southern charm at its best

A southern wedding…transcending time and dimension—charming, romantic and uniquely your own; the beginning of your happily ever should be a magical moment to be remembered forever and captured in the windows of your soul. Our wedding venue, located in the Great Smoky Mountains makes for a perfect destination for out of state brides as well as for last minute elopements. Sampson's Hollow is an event facility that will provide the storybook location for any special event or gathering.  Recently named as a 2019 Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice winner and The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2019, the naturally landscaped farmland has been in the family since the mid 1800’s.  It was recently recognized by the state of Tennessee as an historic Century-old farm.  Located next to Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee and fifteen minutes from the entrance to the national park, Sampson’s Hollow is easily accessible while still maintaining the privacy and seclusion which most guests desire.  In the event of bad weather, the porch of our contemporary barn will seat approximately 175 guests on a covered front porch, accented by a lighted chandelier in the center of the elevated roof and a full view of the beauty of the property.  Our newly constructed Foundry will seat an additional 40 guests with a majestic view to enjoy. The interior of the barn will seat up to 100 guests, depending on use of space.  Features include air-conditioning, a wood burning fireplace, upstairs loft for changing, three restrooms, a small kitchen and a handicap –accessible entrance. A sweetly adorned cabin provides a dressing suite for the bride and her attendants as well as a romantic beginning for the first night as husband and wife. Please visit our website at www.sampsonshollow.com for more information and click on our links to Pinterest, Facebook and YouTube to see photos and a virtual tour of the property.
